“Virtual reality that’s worth trumpeting”

Page 3 of the Monday edition: Mark Sellman introduces Virtual Hall®, the virtual reality app developed by the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande with Cybel’Art, founded by Pierluigi Christophe Orunesu. Six positions on stage, a 360-degree view and a digital score hovering in front of you.

This is the first time a system, involving multiple cameras, has been implemented, presenting considerable challenge.

Cybel'Art

Founder and CEO of Cybel’Art, Pierluigi Christophe Orunesu develops experiences that bring artists closer to their audiences. This Swiss company combines volumetric capture, holography, augmented reality and virtual reality to share live performances and explore new ways of delivering cultural experiences.

icologram® records the presence and performances of living artists. Documented projects include Philippe Entremont, captured in 2019, Henri Dès and his augmented reality application launched in 2023, and the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, recorded at Beaulieu in September 2023 and then presented at Artgenève in 2024. Discover icologram®.

With Virtual Hall®, developed by Cybel’Art with the OSR and presented at Art Genève in 2025, audiences can explore a concert in 360° from several viewpoints. In 2026, the experience was notably presented at the Verbier Festival and made accessible at the Bibliothèque de la Cité de Genève. The Virtual Hall® brand belongs to the Fondation de l’OSR. Explore Virtual Hall®.

icolobook© extends this exploration of sharing culture: certain pages of a printed book open audio, audiovisual or augmented content via the Real Illusions application. The featured catalogue includes Romantic Fantasy on Two Swiss Melodies by Franz Liszt and Seeing Music by Florence Gétreau. Discover icolobook©.

The fusion of worlds physical and digital.

Bringing music to life in new ways, without replacing encounters with artists: this is the guiding thread of Cybel’Art’s projects. The icologram® preserves real performances, Virtual Hall® provides access to the heart of the orchestra and icolobook© connects the printed book to augmented content.

In 2026, these experiences find new meeting places: at the Verbier Festival, in libraries and at Geneva University Hospitals, where Virtual Hall offers a cultural interlude during dialysis sessions.

Cybel’Art × Apple 50

Steve Wozniak

On 1st April 2026, Apple’s 50th anniversary, Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple, was the guest of honour at a private evening organised at Millennium in Crissier by Yann Guyonvarc’h, president of Groupe Millennium: a keynote, gala dinner and conversations.

Pierluigi Christophe Orunesu personally presented him with a gift designed and produced by Cybel’Art: an augmented reality plaque bringing together a 3D-printed replica of the Apple I, the original technical schematic of its circuit board, archive photographs of Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs, and an experience to explore in the Real Illusions app, featuring an exclusive interview about the ‘Pomme One’ replica.

Launched in Lausanne in 2014, the Pomme One project brought together 33 contributors to recreate a working Apple I for Apple’s 40th anniversary in 2016.

“Steve Wozniak loved this gift, fascinated by the fusion of the physical object and the digital augmented reality experience.”

Italian–Swiss supply chain

Eurolactis

Founder of the Eurolactis group and CEO of Eurolactis Italia, Pierluigi Christophe Orunesu is working to develop an Italian–Swiss donkey milk supply chain. His work combines farming and milk collection partnerships in Italy, milk processing and distribution to individuals and professionals.

Established between 2007 and 2008, the project connects a traditional raw material with processing methods and new uses in food and cosmetics. This entrepreneurial venture is built on cooperation with farmers and adding value to their production.

Onalat® Powder is now at the centre of Eurolactis’s offering: freeze-dried donkey milk, available in 100 g sachets for individual consumers and in bulk for professionals. Freeze-drying makes it possible to offer the milk in a form suitable for storage and various food or cosmetic uses.

UHT liquid milk in Tetra Pak packaging belongs to an earlier stage of the company’s development; it is no longer part of the current offering. Specific nutritional uses, particularly for infants or in cases of allergy, require advice from a healthcare professional.

Eurolactis’s journey has been documented by the business and specialist press, including Bilan, Corriere della Sera and DairyReporter. It includes collaborations on donkey milk products, including the chocolate developed with Morges-based confectioner Gérard Fornerod in 2016.

On 18 November 2020, Pierluigi Christophe Orunesu appeared before the Italian Senate’s Agriculture Committee as CEO of Eurolactis, as part of its work on developing the Italian donkey milk supply chain. Watch the hearing at the Italian Senate.

As an Entrepreneur based in Morges, I develop projects that bring together artistic creation, technology and the development of natural resources. Today, my work spans Cybel’Art, icologram®, Virtual Hall®, icolobook© and Eurolactis.

Growing up at La Paisible, Audrey Hepburn’s Swiss home, had a profound impact on my childhood. My parents, originally from Sardinia, worked there, and the house was also our home. There, I discovered a simplicity, a care for others and a closeness to art that continue to inspire me.

Post from my personal blog published on 24 January 2013.

For Audrey, La Paisible was a refuge away from the spotlight and her commitments to UNICEF. In my memories, family meals, produce from the garden tended by my father and pasta with fresh basil hold as important a place as encounters with artists.

This setting instilled in me an appreciation for authenticity and human presence. These values remain essential to my approach to entrepreneurship and the cultural experiences I develop.

Audrey

Pierluigi Christophe Orunesu is among the interviewees in Audrey (2020), the feature documentary about Audrey Hepburn directed by British filmmaker Helena Coan. Produced in London by Salon Pictures, the producers of McQueen, the film is distributed internationally by Universal Pictures, whose Universal Documentaries channel hosts the official trailer.

Made with the participation of Sean Hepburn Ferrer, the actress’s eldest son and Pierluigi’s godfather, and Emma Ferrer, her granddaughter, the film combines archive footage, recordings of Audrey’s voice and ballets choreographed by Wayne McGregor to tell the story of the wartime child, Hollywood icon and UNICEF ambassador.

Alongside Peter Bogdanovich, Richard Dreyfuss, Clare Waight Keller and John Loring, Pierluigi shares an intimate account: that of a child who grew up at La Paisible, Audrey Hepburn’s home in Tolochenaz, where his parents worked.

“A fundamentally well-curated packaging of archive and original material, punctuated with insightful interviews with friends, family members and appreciative collaborators and admirers.”

At Eurolactis, I work to enhance the value of a traditional supply chain. With Cybel’Art, I explore the possibilities of recording and immersive experiences to share music and preserve performances by living artists. Virtual Hall® and icolobook© extend this commitment to opening up new ways to access culture.

La Paisible remains a source of inspiration. My ambition is to develop useful projects, rooted in encounters and able to connect creativity, innovation and the passing on of knowledge.
